Detailed description
For more than 50 years, the federal and state governments have been supporting local authorities in designing attractive and sustainable living spaces. In order for cities to be better able to cope with the new tasks and challenges, the federal government is supporting the creation of sustainable urban structures with urban development funding programmes.
The aim of urban development funding is to improve the quality of life in districts with special development needs through urban development measures and to strengthen social cohesion.
In order to achieve this, many actors in the city (politics, specialist authorities, districts, social institutions, clubs, initiatives, companies, associations, residents) have to work together.
