How to Get to Hamburg? Which Modes of Transportation are There?
Depending on your location, there are several ways to reach Hamburg. Inform yourself well in advance of travel and accommodation opportunities or use an all-inclusive package. Please do your best to avoid car traffic and use public transport instead.
How Can I Reach the PORT ANNIVERSARY Using Public Transport?
The PORT ANNIVERSARY highlights can be reached easily via public transport:

S1, S3 and ferry line 62 to Landungsbrücken or
U3 to Baumwall (Elbphilharmonie)
Elbphilharmonie and Speicherstadt Warehouse District
U1 to Meßberg, U3 to Baumwall (Elbphilharmonie) or ferry line 72 to Elbphilharmonie
Museum Harbour Oevelgönne
Bus line 112 to Neumühlen/Oevelgönne, ferry line 62 to Neumühlen
HafenCity
U4 to Überseequartier, ferry line 72 to Elbphilharmonie
Hansahafen/Veddel
S3, S31 to Veddel (BallinStadt). Exit northwards in the direction of Nord (Hafen). Then take the bus 256 from the Veddel West bus stop to Australiastraße/Hafenmuseum.
Over the course of the PORT ANNIVERSARY weekend, the HVV public transport association will
offer additional trains and busses.
Passengers are kindly asked to check schedule changes in advance.

Peking at Hansahafen
Maritime Circle Line from Landungsbrücken Brücke (pier) 10 to Bremer Kai
Runs every 30 minutes between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Getting Away
Due to the large number of visitors on Saturday evening, we recommend using the Stadthausbrücke (S1 and S3), Meßberg (U1) and Überseequartier (U4) stations to get to the main station.
Where Can I Park My Car?
The area around the PORT ANNIVERSARY will temporarily be turned into a pedestrians-only zone. Around this area, only very limited parking will be available. It is recommended to use public transport. For further information on parking click here.
Where Can I Find StadtRAD Stations in the Harbour Area?
After registering, the red StadtRAD bikes can be rented via phone or app at every StadtRAD terminal. There are several centrally-located terminals by the Elbe river. Further information and a map showing all locations can be found here: StadtRAD
Can I Bring My Bike to the Area?
It is prohibited to bring bicycles to the PORT ANNIVERSARY area during event times.
Where Can I Find Taxi Stands?
Taxi stands can be found at:

Baumwall on the corner of Stubbenhuk
Großer Grasbrook / HafenCity
There will be no optional stops for city tours busses.
Which Squares Will Be Closed?
The open space at the ferry canal next to the musical "Der König der Löwen" is closed for the Port Anniversary. The adjacent car park is still freely accessible and can be used.
Will the Alter Elbtunnel (Old Elbe Tunnel) Be Open?
The Alter Elbtunnel will be blocked for car traffic. Pedestrians and cyclists will be able to use the tunnel throughout the entire Port Anniversary.
Will the Elbe River Be Closed for Ship Traffic?
The river will be partially or entirely blocked on all days of Port Anniversary.
Will the Ferry Lines 72 and 62 Operate as Usual?
During full closure of the Elbe river, the ferry line 72 will be temporarily discontinued, while line 62 may operate only between Altona and Finkenwerder. First and last stops are dependent on river closures.

Does the Musical Shuttle Ferry Operate According to Schedule?
Shuttle ferries for Der König der Löwen and Frozen musicals depart exclusively from Elbphilharmonie (HafenCity).
Will the Area Be Open to Car Traffic?
Stricter check points will be in place for vehicles entering the Port Anniversary area. Driving along the area will not be permitted. Delivery transports can only be made before and after the event (max. 30 min before and min. 30 minutes after).
In extremely urgent cases, transport vehicles may be granted exemption from this rule. A special conditional approval can be granted by the BWI state agency (e.g. for entertainment and food stands) or the responsible police station (pk1431va@polizei.hamburg.de).
Where Can We Find Parking Spaces for Coach Buses?
Hamburg PORT ANNIVERSARY cannot be reached directly by coach buses.
