Museum of Arts and Crafts

The Museum of Arts and Crafts (Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe — MKG) is one of the most important museums of applied arts in Europe. Its collection includes artifacts from the ancient world to the present and encompasses fragments of European, Islamic and Asian cultures.

The museum is located in a historic building, built in 1867, which resembles a neo-renaissance palace. Inside, you’ll find several floors on which  arts and crafts, interior design and photography from Europe, the Middle East and Asia are displayed. The permanent collection spans all time periods from the ancient world to the present day, and includes changing exhibitions about modern and contemporary culture.
