Luxury Hotels Hotel Atlantic Kempinski
This majestic hotel proudly overlooks the Alster and treats guests to elegant interiors, world-class cuisine and a bit of stardom.
Hotel Atlantic Kempinski
Proudly gracing the banks of the Alster Lake with its gleaming white facades and patina roof, Hotel Atlantic Kempinski stands for timeless elegance and excellent hospitality. Ever since its opening in 1909, Hotel Atlantic has welcomed cosmopolitan guests the world over: its residences were originally intended for first-class passengers of the Hamburg America Line.
The hotel offers 221 luxurious rooms and suites with classic interiors, either with a view of the Alster Lake or the courtyard. Guests may enjoy fine dining in the Atlantic Restaurant or sip classic cocktails at the elegant Atlantic Bar. From September 2018 onwards, one further dining option is added to the mix with the Atlantic Grill & Health restaurant. 13 beautifully decorated ballrooms and conference halls provide the ideal surroundings for special occasions and business meetings. Finally, after a day of exploring Hamburg, guests can head to the indoor pool, spa area and fitness studio for some well-deserved relaxation.
Feel like you’ve seen it all before? You could be quite right: Hotel Atlantic is a bit of a movie star. Its facade was part of the set for the 1997 James Bond movie “Tomorrow Never Dies”. In one famous scene, Pierce Brosnan climbs on top of the large globe perched on the hotel’s roof. In addition, a key scene of A Most Wanted Man (2014) featuring Rachel McAdams and Willem Dafoe plays out inside the Atlantic Bar.
