Cirque du Soleil presents its ‘coolest’ show ever at Hamburg’s Barclays Arena: CIRQUE DU SOLEIL CRYSTAL! The unique spectacle combines circus high performance with the world of figure skating. The amazing new production takes the audience on a wondrous journey where ice skating, sensational acrobatics and daredevil trapeze artists meet for the first time.
CIRQUE DU SOLEIL CRYSTAL centres around the title character of Crystal, a young woman who escapes reality into the glittering world of ice crystals. Here she develops her individuality and uniqueness, though she often finds herself on thin ice.
This 42nd original Cirque du Soleil production explores the artistic possibilities of figure skating, with never-before-seen performances creating breath-taking illusions on ice. World-class skaters and acrobats conquer this cool new world with speed and fluidity, seemingly eliminating the laws of gravity.
CIRQUE DU SOLEIL CRYSTAL is directed by Shana Carroll and Sébastien Soldevila and brings together 43 artists, acrobats, skaters, clowns and musicians to create an international ensemble that sets new standards for the brand. Unlike other Cirque du Soleil shows, CIRQUE DU SOLEIL CRYSTAL takes on the added challenge of ice.
