Tanz der Vampire
After celebrating its world premiere in Vienna in 1997, Tanz der Vampire has been staged in 14 countries and fascinated more than eight million theatregoers worldwide. It already enjoyed a three-year stand in Hamburg’s Neue Flora between 2003 and 2006 and returned to Stage Theatre on the south bank of the Elbe river for five months.
From September 2017 to January 2018, the adaptation of Roman Polanski’s classic movie The Fearless Vampire Killers (1967) turned the Stage Theater into a spooky Transylvanian landscape. The audience found itself in the late 19th century, where it encountered Professor Ambronsius, his young assistant Alfred and the beautiful villager Sarah. Together, they were lead into the arms of the mysterious Count von Krolock and his strangely bloodthirsty entourage.
