Every year in August, the popular city festival Alstervergnügen takes place around Hamburg’s Alster Lake.
Spanning the area between Rathausmarkt and the Lombardsbrücke bridge, the 4-day summer festival offers visitors exciting attractions, live performances and plenty of stalls with a wide variety of delicious snacks and beverages. Four stages with a varied entertainment programme showcase over 500 national and international artists, acrobats and athletes, attracting more than ten thousand visitors from 10 a.m. to midnight every day. Every night at 10 p.m., the highlight of the Alstervergnügen takes place: Fireworks.
Unfortunately, the Alstervergnügen festival has been cancelled for 2018.
