Family-friendly entertainment
In July, Eppendorfer Landstraße hosts a street festival for the entire family. Visitors can look forward to plenty of events full of live music and other highlights.
Two different stages boast cover bands playing all-time rock, pop and dance classics while solo folk artists deliver soothing acoustic melodies. Plus, school bands and dance ensembles from Eppendorf-based institutions get a chance to prove themselves to a broad audience.
Fun for kids
Two different children's areas offer plenty of space for kids to explore and play. In Kellinghusen Park, a small water area makes for a refreshing dip, while a bouncy castle, disco and braiding stand are just some of the fun activities for children.
Flea market for treasure hunters
For treasure hunters, the flea market (Sat & Sun, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.) is an absolute must. From jewelry to books, china and furniture, all kinds of precious objects can be found here — if you show up early and dive deep enough. The adjacent Kreativmarkt handicraft market offers a broad range of artisan crafts and unique fashion items.
Gourmet gastronomy
From frozen yoghurt to crepes to bratwursts, culinary delights of all kinds await at the street festival’s many food stands along Eppendorfer Landstrasse.
Another great tradition of the street festival in Eppendorf is the legendary Kellner-Rennen (lit.: 'waiter race'). Service staff from many different restaurants in the area compete for the win.
After the street festival, resident restaurants like Café Borchers or Chicago Meatpackers invite the masses in to keep up the party.
Everyday Eppendorf
Once again, Eppendorf’s bakeries support local organisations by making and selling cake. All proceeds go to the children’s cancer research society.
In addition, many organisations, clubs, social institutions, parties and initiatives present themselves and their work to eager passers-by.
