Hamburg's Central Open-Air Jazz Festival
Once a year, Planten un Blomen – one of Hamburg's most beautiful parks – provides the wonderful backdrop for the Jazz Open. This open-air jazz festival has long been a cult event and draws up to 10,000 jazz fans to the splendid greens every year.
Outstanding musicians present the current trends in jazz on stage. Visitors can enjoy two days of great music free of charge and in a relaxed atmosphere. So just grab your picnic blanket and indulge in stunning sounds and lovely landscapes!
The Jazz Open have been taking place since 1996. The festival is hosted by the Jazzbüro Hamburg in cooperation with the NDR Jazzredaktion.
The event starts at 5 pm on both days. Admission is from 3 pm. There is no entrance fee, but an admission ticket must be booked in advance. Visitors can make a small donation for the Jazzbüro on site.
