Cyclassics Bicycle Races in Hamburg, Germany

Cyclassics Bicycle Races

Every year, Europe‘s biggest cycling race is held in Hamburg and the surrounding countryside. Since 1996, amateurs and pros have competed in this one-of-a-kind race, that leads riders along many of Hamburg’s most prominent sights as well as through the region’s beautiful nature.

On three different courses, riders will cycle through the meadows and forests of Schleswig-Holstein, until returning to the city centre of Hamburg for the final sprint. The finish line is located at Mönckebergstraße, Hamburg’s most prominent shopping street.

In and around Hamburg, around 20,000 amateurs will race on either 60, 100 or 160 kilometres of completely closed-off roads. The registration system matches you to form similarly skilled groups of riders. Whether on race, mountain or city bikes, everybody can try to beat their or their friends’ personal best in this highly-prestigious race.

After the amateurs have started, it’s time for the the UCI WorldTour pro race. Part of the World Tour since 2005, the world’s best cycling teams compete in this one-day cycling race. The sport’s biggest stars attract around 650,000 spectators. Witness the race along the course or visit the bike fair at Hamburg’s Jungfernstieg boulevard and Rathausmarkt square!
