Experience Future Mobility in Hamburg

The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg has successfully outbid the competition for hosting the 2021 ITS World Congress for intelligent traffic systems and services. Along with Hamburg’s Senator Frank Horch, the European industrial association ERTICO - ITS Europe announced the international ITS jury’s decision at the 2017 World Congress in Montreal, Canada. Hamburg’s bid won the competition against three different potential host cities. Hamburg had submitted the bid together with the Volkswagen Group and was further backed by Hamburg Convention Bureau GmbH as well as the city’s Chamber of Commerce.

In cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, Hamburg will host the world’s largest traffic conference: from 11 - 15 October 2021, the event will take place at the Congress Center Hamburg (CCH), the Messehallen Convention Centre as well as other assorted locations throughout the city. More information regarding the World Congress can be found here.
