The ITS Project Management Office (PMO) has initiated an ITS research workshop for 40 stakeholders from higher education institutions and research facilities. Thanks to this workshop, these various scientists had the chance to introduce their projects to a broader audience and exchange ideas with the city’s experts.
Projects ranged from submarine robots for measuring degrees of pollution in the Elbe river to the prevention of hacker attacks on automobile electronics and communication between drones. The workshop made it clear that all research facilities are working on the digitalisation of traffic.
After the workshop, there was time to mingle and network while the projects which fit the ITS strategy were identified ― from small-scale measures to large multi-million euro joint ventures.
The format is scheduled to take place on a regular basis from now on, with the number of participating entities constantly increasing. With regards to the ITS World Congress in 2021, the workshop is meant to promote young scientists and their ideas on an international scale.
