Artificial Intelligence (AI) combines scientific insights in the fields of automation and machine learning to advance and promote technologies such as generative design and the internet of things.
AI is used to help solve the big problems of mankind. Diseases, hunger or the climate crisis could be tackled by using 'superhuman' intelligence, or so-called 'Strong AI'. Experts still classify current AI applications in the ‘weak’ or ‘narrow AI’ category: smart algorithms that are designed to perform clearly defined tasks and open up various possible applications in medicine, traffic management or predictive planning.
