Camping & Motorhomes

Take your motorhome to the city, tow your caravan to the dyke, pitch your tent on the beach! Camping options in and around Hamburg.

A night out in the open on one of Hamburg's campgrounds

In and around Hamburg, there are plenty of spots where you can enjoy nature to the fullest. There are several campgrounds along the river Elbe or in the green areas of Northern Hamburg for you to set up your tent or park your camper van.

Elbe Camp, Elbdeich Camping Kollmar, Camping Jacobsen, Camping Land and Stover Beach International  are located right on the water’s edge and a 30-35 minute drive away from the city.

To the north, only a few minutes from Tierpark Hagenbeck zoo, you can stay at Buchholz Camping. Knaus Camping (see photo) has easy access to  the A7 motorway at Stellingen. Camping Grossensee is set beautifully on one of the many lakes of southeastern Schleswig-Holstein a mere 30 minute drive east.

Closer to the city centre, there is the option to park your RV in the heart of St. Pauli on Heiligengeistfeld, at Wohnmobilhafen 20 minutes south or Camper Parking in Hamburg Hammerbrook south east of downtown Hamburg.
