The Hello Hamburg App provides hands-on information for newcomers to Hamburg in both text and speech. The app was developed by audioguideMe and the
libraries, and answers questions about where to learn German, how to hire books, and how to find childcare facilities in German, English, Arabic, Farsi and Russian. After downloading the app and the preferred language pack, users don’t need an internet connection to access the information. What’s more: the app is compatible with a wide range of devices, including older smartphones.
