Every summer, an estimated 50,000 bikes and 600,000 visitors are expected at Europe’s largest inner-city motorbike event. The Hamburg Harley Days draw bikers from across Europe and beyond to the Großmarkt at Hammerbrook, a few blocks east of Central Station.
On approx. 40,000 sqm Harley riders and enthusiasts experience a unique mix of petrol-fueled expo and entertainment.
While 100 shops offer Harley-Davidson gear from apparel and accessories to parts and custom bikes for sale, riders can share the latest over freshly-drafted beers and meals from dozens of food outlets. Visitors with appropriate license may test-drive the latest Harley-Davidson models on site Fri to Sun.
The programme is action-packed with shows and live music, including the Wall of Death, an oversized wooden barrel in which motorcycle artists perform breathtaking stunts at full speed. Rock’n’roll and metal artists from around the globe perform live on stage all days complete with spectacular firework displays on Friday and Saturday (10:45 pm).
Saturday will also see a celebrity jury award prizes to the most spectacular Harley-Davidson custom cycles on Hamburg’s prime shopping street, Mönckebergstrasse (from 11 am).
On Sunday, the traditional bike parade has everyone out on the streets of Hamburg to witness the truly fitting conclusion of the event.
