Tanz der Vampire
Tanz der Vampire Musical
On 17 September 2017, on time for Halloween, Tanz der Vampire (lit. Dance of the Vampires) musical returns to Hamburg. For five months, the adaptation of Roman Polanski’s classic movie The Fearless Vampire Killers (1967) will turn Stage Theater by the Elbe river into a spooky Transylvanian landscape. The audience finds itself in the late 19th century, where it encounters Professor Ambronsius, his young assistant Alfred and the beautiful villager Sarah. Together, they are lead into the arms of the mysterious Count von Krolock and his strangely bloodthirsty entourage.
A fascinating stage show, a long list of captivating songs as well as a considerable pinch of humour is sure to capture theatergoers ─ regardless of their German language proficiency.
After celebrating its world premiere in Vienna in 1997, the musical has been staged in 14 countries and fascinated more than eight million theatregoers worldwide. It already enjoyed a three-year stand in Hamburg’s Neue Flora between 2003 and 2006 and now returns to Stage Theatre on the south bank of the Elbe river.
Free shuttle ferries leave from Landungsbrücken station.
