Trade Shows Business Events
Trade shows and business events that take place in Hamburg
Hamburg is known to be one of the major Northern European locations for trade shows. The Hamburg Convention Bureau, a direct subsidiary of Hamburg Marketing, is responsible for presenting Hamburg and the metropolitan region as premium event locations.
Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH organises trade shows at the Messehallen convention centre and the Congress Center Hamburg (CCH).
With almost 100,000 sqm and several exhibition halls of all sizes, the Messehallen convention centre offers plenty of space for various trade shows. Among the most notable fairs in recent years you can find the SMM, Internorga, Hanseboot, Aircraft Interiors Expo and WindEnergy Hamburg. The convention centre is located in the heart of St. Pauli precinct, and can be reached easily by U2 underground train (exit Messehallen) as well as urban railway lines S11, S21 or S31 (exit Sternschanze).
The CCH is the second key convention centre in Hamburg. It offers another 10,000 sqm and is only a short walk away from Messehallen, through Planten un Bloomen park. The congress centre opened in 1973, as the first of its kind in Germany. It can be seen easily from afar, because of the adjoining hotel towering above it. Next to it, there is Dammtor station. Urban railway lines S11, S21 and S31 as well as many regional and mainline trains stop here.
The Airport Convention Centre offers a variety of differently-sized meeting rooms.
